A response time of 3 hours was excellent as we are a care home in Boston. James the driver very polite and professional and sorted out our blockage quickly. Would highly recommend them.

Absolutely terrible blockage in the stack pipe on my house. It was blocking my upstairs loo, bath and was leaking down into my kitchen. James and Lloyd came out and worked so hard to clear everything. It took almost three hours of solid work. They were methodical, professional, extremely polite, respectful and very kind. I have an adult son with disabilities who needs to use the loo that was blocked, as we don't have a stairlift, and going up and down the stairs is painful for him. James and Lloyd were determined to get everything sorted the same night and I really couldn't be more grateful to them. Fantastic company! Please use this company with confidence. We contacted Bates when our drain was broken and needed repair. They came to give us a report and a quote for the work. To repair the broken clay pipes they had to dig through the concrete and top soil to locate the pipes. This they had to do by hand, being unable to get a digger in to the site. It took a whole day of very hard work to find and dig down to the pipe. The repair was then completed quickly. We were most impressed by the speed with which the work was carried out and incredibly impressed with the remedial work to restore our garden to its former state. They carried out the work speedily, cheerfully and efficiently. We would recommend them to everyone!

We have used Bates for some time to clear our tank, and when it failed we turned to them to see if they could repair the tank. Unfortunately, it needed replacing with a treatment system due to our proximity to watercourses under the Environment Act 2020. The new plant was installed quickly (the work took two days - quicker than they anticipated) with just 30 minutes in which we couldn't use water in the house. The work was very professional, the installers were knowledgeable and really went the extra mile in restoring the ground - two months later the lawn is still level with no subsidence. I use Bates to empty our septic tank - I did not know that they also have a drain clearing service. My plumber 4th Generation Plumbing told me - contacted the office answered phone straight away friendly efficient service explained what they do took payment and informed me that the engineer would contact me when he was on his way. Sure enough late afternoon I received a call to say he was on his way. The engineer arrived what a lovely friendly lad he is - very professional in his work he lifted manhole covers and diagnosed the problem and the location of the blockage in no time - he dealt with it washed through the pipes refitted the covers cleaned up.
